I had 6 kids in my class. 2 kids were talkative and have their own laughs. I had tough time to seek their
attention. I asked
'why' questions of language and left it open to let them think 'why' we learn language.
To engage the
students, I had to come up with a lot of anecdotes and contextual stories. To inculcate
them into reading, I need to come up with other materials as well.
Motivation,
inspiration is needed to let them learn since at the end of the day, we're only
facilitators of learning. We can't teach the learning. Give great environment
so that the kid learn and most importantly, enjoy the learning.
Ending the first
class, I realised It's very important
what not to say rather than what to say to the kids. We don't need to create a perfect image but
also, we don't need to bring up something which we're not.
