Stories with Geetika- Non violent Communication

"What's the aspect of time in storytelling?" asked Geetika.

"In the history of oral storytelling, there's no aspect of limited time. In olden days, women had different songs for different works. When they grind, they have songs, when they work on field, they have different songs. In the same way, through sharing stories, their stories, someone's stories, they entertain themselves and also live in that way."

I blabbered on what's storytelling to me and what little I know of storytelling. A patient listener, she nodded listening to my thoughts. "As I listen to you, I observe that you're interested in self-reflection, storytelling, listening and talking. There's non-violent communication which you should check out."

I was grateful to have her listen to me in person for long time and point out what I'm interested in and suggest an idea/theme that's in my interest area. I never heard of it, non-violent communication. Thanks Geetika for sharing it.
