In 2021, I couldn't decide which movie to begin with. Picking on Harry's suggestion, I watched this movie, Art of Loving. It's the story of Michalina Wislocka, a sexologist. It's a depiction of her journey of publishing this book in a communist country.
Sex is taboo. In our country, I wonder if we are educated about sex, masturbation without any embarrassment. Biology is an interesting subject to learn. We are deprived of better sex education in our schooling. We are conditioned to a lot of beliefs on sex. These days, I believe that porn is altering a lot of beliefs. I was introduced to porn (thanks, Sunny leone) when I hit 18. It started with curiosity and I read a lot about porn, watched documentaries(along with porn at regular times) I had to educate myself a lot on sex, emotions, feelings. Most of the time, I reflected and it didn't help.
At a subconscious level, we are made to believe that pleasure is bad and sex is bad. There's a lot of repercussions to these beliefs. I'm not up to promote free sex either. I second that, education is important! To know ourselves and our bodies better.
Michalina Wislocka contributed a lot to the education of society through her book. Enjoyed it.
