The Red Flower by Safdar Hashmi

The Red Flower by Safdar Hashmi, illustrated by Mona Rai

This book is about Red Flower. Through red flower, there’s a chain of characters that are linked to the story. The sun, moon, winds, crow, cat, frog. All these characters have one line dialogues pushing the story forward. This story reminded me of a Telugu story, Raju Inka Edu Chepalu (King and the seven fishes)

The illustrations are semi-abstract. The cover tells it all.
