Day5-M3, Climate, Culture, Code

Krithi joined me for the exhibition. On a guided tour, we walked through the pieces. A keen listener, she was trying to interpret the pieces in aesthetics and asking interesting questions. I was happy to listen to her interpretations and she got a lot of my intents in the first guess. Of all the pieces she interpreted, she looked at the painting 'digital reef' without watching title and began to interpret on the theme exactly! You're good at interpreting Art K!.  'I like this more,' pointing out to Running Melody. As we finished walking through the exhibition, K tried to check out 'In Swann's Way' as well.Watching her witness the piece, I realised I could've arranged a better viewing experience for the audience. It's interesting to see how people respond to your art work. Glad to have a keen observer and art enthusiast at the exhibition.

As I bid bye to Krithi after a heartful conversation, I caught up with Jose.

Jose and I run into each other whenever he's leaving Geneva. This time he's leaving to a very important place for interviewing people on peace and peace negotiation. As we walked through the exhibits, Jose was very invested in the forms, colours, shapes and interpreted them in a very deep way. At once, I felt all my stories are out there in colours. I got reminded of V's words. 'It's difficult to put ourselves out there in all honesty.' For once, I felt I'm completely revealed by my works. Why does any artist do that? I don't know. I'm trying to be there, being vulnerable and putting my work in the most honest way I can. The pursuit seems to be more important.

I attended an event after sending off Jose for an adventurous journey. Post event, I got a chance to catch up with Jyot, Harshitha & Diya. I'm always happy to see Jyot as she brings a lively energy wherever she is. I remember the times we spent in the first semester strolling around and catching up on interesting conversations. Curious Jyot was a good audience and read all the text diligently. As I was explaining her brewing sound cloud, H told me how she assumed the exhibit as a giveaway chocolates. I'm glad no one touched it or tried eating it.

"I like the Coy fish," she retitled the 'humming digital codes.' I got reminded of the times when she walked to my first exhibition. We clicked a picture and called it a day. Happy to have friends who always cheer up by their presence.
