Art & Geneva- Landscapes of Switzerland

Museum of Art and History has a range of collection. I got lost in the sections of old classic landscape paintings. A lot of text has been written on how people tried portraying nature and the tension present in it to bring in the spiritual elements of it. I struggled to imagine on how these painters in 1800s managed to paint in such big scale. Brilliant work. There was one collage painting that was curated right next to old greek style painting, I wonder what curator was trying to do here.
