Movie- Stalker by Tarkovsky

This is my first Tarkovsky's film. I watched the russian film with french subtitltes. Decided to focus completely on visual and sound distancing myself from the act of understanding through verbal language. I haven't read the synopsis either. It was an interesting experience. I continued watching and I was lost in the visuals and the sound. After the end of the movie, I realised I sat for 2 hours 42 minutes without being lost or bored. Although, I didn't understand the story, I was able to travel along with the characters and connect a few dots. Looking forward to catch up more on Tarkovsky's movies. 

Before the show, I got a chance to catch up with a fellow movie watcher. Ca va? he started. Ca va bien I continued and we found our way to tell about ourselves without telling our names. He's swiss with a moroccan father and syrian mother, speaks four languages and attended school near Maison de la Paix and he's pursuing medicine at unige. How old are you he asked? 30, I responded. I'm 19, he shared. Together we watched the movie and walked our ways to home in different paths. A good day.
