Movie- Porcelain War

Geneva Peace Week has hosted a beautiful inspiring documentary- Porcelain War at Graduate Institute, Geneva. This documentary shows the current ongoing Russia-Ukraine war. The documentary reveals the life of Slava, Anya, Andrey who decided to stay back in their country and fight for it. Wars always leave people in destruction. The way the artists find beauty and strength amidst destruction is portrayed through their practice of porcelain art amidst war times and also attending to the country needs. The artists are driven by hope and share that porcelain is very delicate but, it lasts for centuries and forever, so is Ukraine. A very moving documentary. I was also happy to see a lot of Indian VFX artists working on this movie.

Post movie screening, a small discussion was hosted along with Jennifer, Kateyrina, the film co-director Brenden and Ruslan

A lot of information can be seen on www.porcelainwar.com

Was happy to watch the movie along with Shefali, with whom I share a small heartful conversation whenever we run into each other.
