Friends- The Timely Dinner and a few tunes
Adhira and Anjali flew together when they arrived to Geneva. They're flying back together. Such a full circle moment for both of them. Happy that they've taken another step in their journey. Epsa, Adhira, Anjali, Prathit & I decided to catch up for dinner. They arrived around 8 pm, earlier than they usually show up for their dinners. As we met El Catrin, a mexican place, all of us tried our hand at tacos and a drink. To our surprise, we had tasty tiny tacos that would amount to snacks but not to dinner. During the course of our dinner, the usual banter went around love, rest, future and some songs. Prathit caught me humming Dasht E Tanhai and was eager to listen to the full song. I never went beyond those words- Dasht E Tanhai. Both of us shared a few versions of this song, we love. I always knew that Prathit had an ear for music but was surprised to see his love for ghazals. Glad to have another ghazal lover in the group.
As we decided to head to Perfum De Beyrouth, we walked around Cornavin listening to Epsa and Anjali's recent travel stories to Greece. Quickly we picked our shawarmas from the restaurant and headed to the lake. At Band de Paqui, we sat near the stones enjoying the moon rise and food. It never felt like a farewell dinner. It's nice to see them chatting about everything casually like an another day. A & A brought three bags of food for me as a give away. Thanks A2. I boarded the bus at my favourite stop Rue-de- Chateaubriand. I wish the best for these two youngsters who are on their new journey in life.
