Book- The Reader by Bernhard Schlink

I picked up the novel, the moment I looked at the title, as the movie The Reader has been one of my favorites. I bought the book and headed to our garden to read it. In one sitting, I finished reading the novel plucking strawberries and eating them, whenever I felt hungry. A wonderful read after such a long time. 

Hanna Schmitz meets a young boy Michel on a random encounter. A few more meetings, they form a relationship where Michel reads her the novels, bathe him & make love. After such steamy affair with the young boy, she vanishes out of his life moving to a different town. Michel searches for her but, in no vain, he finds any detail about her.  After several years, Michel see Hanna again, at the defendant trial of Nazis. Michel finds out the truth Hanna has been hiding all her life. Hanna is an illiterate and she would go to a very extreme to hide that shame. Will Hanna and Michel meet again? Will Michel confronts Hanna is the rest of the story.
