Poetry- Melody-Caught in Climate Change

I meet a melody who is as bright as the red sun
as mysterious as the musical note of a symphony
I kept running into this melody
whenever I had a running playlist on loop
I didn’t know the rules of the game. I didn’t play hide and seek
Instead on a winter night, I dove deep in the lake of chords
when it’s cold
I’m going to miss these winters, the cold lake dips
the white flowers and the chirpy smiles
the Paul Klee stories, the 70-year-old petrol engineer
who is crazy about planes,
the table tennis games, the walks, the long runs,
the promised chicken dinners.

Again, I meet the mellow melody in the symphony of nature
climbing up the high notes in snow
sliding down through the silences in rain
walking in a white coat of warm winters
wavering underneath the rhythm of rail lines
worried of wandering into the void
finding meaning in being amidst musical notes
floating in the ocean of soundscapes and simplicity
creating spaces, silences, bright notes and blues.
