Sirohi to Switzerland - Some Tips to survive in Switzerland

*Some handy apps for when you arrive:*

Disclaimer: Some of them might not show up on playstore/ appstore. Change your location to Switzerland and they will.

*1. SBB:* Swiss travel system all in one app. Train times, availabilities, tickets. Also shows your travel pass QR once you get it so you don’t have to carry the physical card.

*2. TPG:* Bus timings, route. Your everyday app.

*3. Too Good To Go:* Food Delivery and food in general is expensive here. Exam days when you have no energy to cook, have groceries (stores are 15 min away): Life saver. 5fr meals from nearby shops with designated pick up times. V good coz even a simple sandwich would cost you 5-8 Fr. So a full meal in the same price helps you save.

Maison De La Paix cafeteria is good. But definitely not made for students given how expensive it is. Pro tip: Learning some cooking basics might help if you are intending to save a lot.

*Best recommendations I’ve ever received:*

*1. Sign up for La Farce*
20 Fr annual fee. *Free groceries for all year long with pick up every Thursday.* V v v good given that a one week worth of basic food supplies - oil, bread, butter, veggies would cost the same. Only for students. Even those who are above 25yrs of age.

2. Always *shop at Lidl for food.* Cheapest. Good too.

3. Coop/ Migros for veggies.

4. Denner for drinks and snacks.

But also varies a lot on personal preferences.
